I´m off to New York in a few days so this fits in prefect right now.
Hopefully I have time to do something like this when I´m there too.
I even bought the Canon 16-35 f/2.8 II L lens yesterday, so now I have a new toy to play around with there.
Thank you Tim Hahne for giving more inspiration for filming something when I go over there…

This new one does have a bit of the same feeling as the Luv Deluxe movie.

It´s a bit strange that I haven’t seen Samuli’s portfolio before.
I have seen his work before and even used his photos for some commercials I have done,
but for some reason I have never come across his portfolio before.
Amazing stuff, wouldn’t think that this is a Finnish photographer when looking at the photos :P

I have noticed that there is a style which is becoming more and more popular all the time.
I have been trying to google this trend, but not really sure what to call it, and didn’t really find the thing I was looking for.
The idea is to change the white in to a more “brownish” color, maybe a bit vintage style.
So I took a go at it myself.

It’s been quite popular in the wedding photography scene, so I thought that why not try it on my wedding photo :)

And if you are a photo geek like me, you have noticed that alot of the trendy wedding photos are taken with a tilt shift lens so that there is just a small part that is in focus.
I made a tutorial on how to fake it here: Changing the depth of field afterwards.

A few days ago I rented a studio with my friend to try out some more “real” flash setups.
So I thought I would show you a quite nice and simple setup with 4 lights.

And huge octobox in to a Hensel flash behind the camera.
2 softboxes from both sides in to two Hensel flashes, a bit from behind.
One smaller flash (don’t know the brand) with a snoot behind the model.
